As an utter believer of famous Architect, Theorist, Writer, Designer, Inventor & philosopher Mr. Richard Buckminster Fuller’s above thought, Mr. Vasant Soni founder of Torsion Engineers & Consultants has constantly motivated his strong and talented team for innovative solutions.

He finished his graduation in B.E (Civil) from then prestigious L.D.Collage of Engineering, Ahmedabad in 1976 with securing First Place in Gujarat University and 4 Gold Medals. As his academic Journey continued he opted for further study from one of the top institutes of India, IIT (BOMBAY) and earned M.Tech in Structural Engineering degree with distinction in 1978.

Undertaking well defined authority he distinguished himself with his first assignment at Rajani Associates, Bombay as a Project Engineer in 1978. In 1979, He joined SMPS Consultants in Ahmedabad as a Sr. Structural Engineer and served dedicatedly for twelve years. In 1991, He took the challenge to start his own professional enterprise named as “TORSION ENGINEERS & CONSULTANTS“, A structural design & project consultancy firm. His grit and determination helped the organization to achieve great success during 33 years of his association and continues for future years to have company achieve its’ new highs.

During his rich experience of nearly four and half decades he has successfully designed and coordinated more than 3300 projects as diverse as,  National Dairy Development Plant Projects, Bio-Gas Plant Projects, Cattle Field Plant Projects, Industrial Projects, Educational Institutes, Hospitality Industry to Commercial offices and Shopping Malls, Residential Townships to Mega Tall Buildings etc. Along with it, Vasant Soni has his credit for successful structure designing of the first Solar Cricket Stadium of Gujarat State at Rajkot City.

Being an active and dynamic leader he is associated with lots of recognized institution such as The Institute of Engineers of India, Indian Association of Structural Engineers, The Gujarat Institute of Civil Engineer And Architects etc. He is a member of several other Urban Development Authorities well. His dedication to society work has taken him far when he served as a Visiting Faculty at CEPT (Centre for Environmental Planning and Technology), Ahmedabad. 

Finally and above all his latest achievement is to finish designing and execution of the Phase-I of proposed Cow Sanctuary Project at Kamheru Village, Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh. The aim of the project is to provide protection and monitoring to the homeless Cow’s. The highlight of the project is its consideration as INDIA’S First project of this kind at such a large scale with its capacity to hold up to 5000 cows at a time in an area of almost 1,64,000 sq.m as equal as 40.5 acre of a land.
